Felicity Huffman is halfway through her 14-day prison sentence after being found guilty in the admission scandal of Varsity Blues College. And the first photo of the Desperate Housewives star behind bars has finally surfaced.
A mysterious camera caught Huffman in a dark green jumpsuit at Federal Correctional Institution, Dublin, California, and People Magazine reports that her husband – Shameless star William H. Macy – and her 17-year-old daughter Georgia visited the actress at the weekend.
The opening times at FCI Dublin are on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
In addition to the green jumpsuit, Huffman also wore Under Armor tennis shoes, and the founder of Wall Street Prison Consultants Larry Levine – who spent ten years in prison – says it makes it clear that the actress is receiving special treatment.
Huffman not only wears tennis shoes from a famous brand, but she has also set up a prison visit in just a few days, which is almost impossible. Levine also claims that the photograph of Huffman was taken by a prisoner with a smuggling mobile phone, which led to the prison taking away telephone and e-mail rights from the prisoners.
Huffman started her 14-day sentence on Tuesday, October 15, and she will only serve 13 days because of the time she was in prison prior to her detention. When she changed herself to FCI Dublin, a representative for Huffman said the actress was willing to serve her time and follow all the conditions of her probation.
“Ms. Huffman is willing to serve the prison sentence ordered by Judge Talwani as part of the punishment she imposed for Mrs. Huffman’s actions. She will pronounce the rest of the sentence imposed by Judge Talwani – a year of controlled release, with conditions including 250 hours of community service – when released.
Huffman received prison sentence, probation, and community service after she was found guilty of paying $ 15,000 admission consultant Rick Singer to help her daughter Sophia cheat with the SAT . Reportedly, Huffman paid the money to Singer to ensure that the SAT proctor would change Sophia’s answers after taking the exam.
In addition to her imprisonment and community service, the judge also ordered her to pay a fine of $ 30,000. Insiders say that Huffman is ashamed of everything that has happened and that she is ready to leave it all behind by serving her time and moving forward.
