The New York Jets apparently put all their star players at the disposal of the team, and the security, Jamal Adams, would welcome an agreement that sends him out of the city.
Many reports claim that the Jets have at least discussed the possibility of an exchange with the Dallas Cowboys, and Adams apparently hopes the two sides will come to an agreement. The Pro Bowler grew up in the Dallas area and wants to play for his hometown team.
The jets indeed engaged in commercial discussions with the Cowboys involving Jamal Adams, as reported @Rapsheet.
According to my understanding, Adams would like the change of scenery to take place in his home town.

Of course, compensation could be a problem for the Cowboys. Adams is one of the best defenders of football and is only in the third year of his rookie contract. Albert Breer of the MMQB reports that the Jets would like at least what the Miami Dolphins got for Minkah Fitzpatrick when they traded it in Pittsburgh. Steelers, which was a package of choice that included a first round next year.
The Jets are 1-6 this year, and Adams said he was not happy with the team earlier in the season. It would not be a surprise if he pushes for an exchange, but the asking price may simply be too high.
