Lane Kiffin had a hilarious shot at the United States Conference officials after her team from Atlantic Florida lost 36 to 31 against Marshall on Friday night and she was fined.
Kiffin’s owls were called to nine penalties, many of which bothered the coach. Kiffin did not criticize the referees during his post-match press conference, citing a lack of funds in the event of a fine.
@Lane_Kiffin, head coach of the FAU: I will not go into arbitration. I will not lose money with that. I do not know if (fine C-USA), but I do not have the money.

Although Kiffin initially asserted this, Kiffin could not help shooting officials on Twitter the next day.

Kiffin marked the conference in his tweet, assuring them that they would see her well. They fined him $ 5,000.
Kiffin thought he had sent a funny tweet, but the conference obviously did not see it the same way. Then Kiffin complained of “no freedom to tweet”.
#FAU head coach @Lane_Kiffin talks about his tweet criticizing arbitration at Owls & # 039; defeat against #Marshall: Obviously I was not happy with the referees. I sent what I thought was a fun tweet, but I guess they (C-USA) did not think it was as funny as me. I guess there is no freedom to tweet.

FAU Owl Access shared details about many of the calls that were blown into the game, which clearly shows that Kiffin had good reason to be upset.
