The Detroit Lions defense did a great job against the Green Bay Packers in the red zone on Monday night, but it cost itself with a stupid penalty.
The Lions were 13-0 in Green Bay and had just stopped the Packers on 13 and 17 out of 13. The Packers seemed to have to settle for one goal, but the Lions were called. have 12 men on the field during an attempt at field placement.
The irony of Lions & # 039; 12 men on the field penalty is that they literally had a guy who counted everybody to make sure that did not happen #Lions #Packers #MNF pic.twitter.com/DanM7GZLgV

The five-yard penalty gave Green Bay a first try, allowing the Packers to put their attack back on the field. Two pieces later, Aaron Rodgers launched a touchdown pass to bring the mark to 13-7.
This penalty cost the Lions at least four points, and potentially seven if you never know if Mason Crosby missed the kick.
