In the wake of a dominant ALDS, Gerrit Cole is scheduled for the third game of the ALCS for the Houston Astros. Although he still has a lot of work to do, it’s increasingly impossible to ignore that Cole will be a free agent after the end of the season.
The right-hand star does not think about it yet, but one of his teammates seems to know where he could land. Private Josh Reddick suggested that Cole could eventually play somewhere in the West.
Josh Reddick does not know who will afford Gerrit Cole this winter, but he knows Cole would love to go out west. “I just hope it comes out of our division,” says Reddick.

Cole is from Southern California and attended UCLA. He may be anxious to get closer to home. It will probably cost a lot of money, though, and the Astros do not seem optimistic about their chances of retaining it. The question will be who can and if they are one of Cole’s favorite destinations.
