The New York Giants played surprisingly against the New England Patriots during most of their game on Thursday night, almost exclusively because of their strong defense performance. However, they still made a lot of mistakes and Jabrill Peppers was responsible for one of the biggest ones. To his credit, the star defender does not hide that.
When the game was tied 14-14 in the second quarter, Peppers had missed a major tackle at 3 and 6, which would probably have forced the Patriots to press for more than two minutes in the half. Instead, they chained a few other games and scored a touchdown to go up 21-14 at the break.
Peppers was ripped on Twitter for this error, and he confessed it in a fun tweet after the 35-14 loss.
You’re absolutely right, it cost us 7 pts. It can not happen .. even though I think he dipped his uniform into something slippery https://t.co/pvAQmRMgmW

James White is the one who managed to escape control of the Peppers, and the veteran running back has made a career defending the defenders. Nevertheless, these types of games are particularly confusing when you face a superior opponent.
The Brads had Tom Brady at the back for much of the night and were able to stay in the match with an interception and a fumble return for a touchdown. Peppers expressed confidence in improving the New York defense when he spoke to reporters after the match, but he spoke of his crucial mistake.
“We played ball games a lot. We must simply limit the big games, the missed tackles, “said the former first-round pick. “I think you’re going to start seeing a defense that the Giants are used to.”
The final score gave the impression that the game was an explosion, but there were some encouraging things for the Giants. If they did not oppose a defense that gave them an astonishing 8.0 points per game and could not even find a use for a defensive end of the Pro Bowl, they might have even managed a hit.
