Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day is just around the corner

Ben & Jerry's is giving away free ice cream from 12pm to 8pm as part of its annual Free Cone Day. "It's fantastic what we can do together over shared values and several scoops of ice cream", stated Jon Goodman, Chief Scooper at Ben & Jerry's of San Antonio. This year, the brand's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough flavor will be available in its original and new non-dairy form. As reported by CNN, Ben & Jerry's is offering cones to anybody that steps foot into their shops today and, unlike many other companies, there is no cap on the number of times you can reenter the line. It's a special tradition and I can't wait to see all the smiles and happiness Free Cone Day brings.

"We're nothing without our fans", said Ben & Jerry's CEO Matthew McCarthy.

The company has hosted Free Cone Day on the second Tuesday of April for the past few years because it's close to its anniversary in early May and it's the start of "ice cream season" for most franchise locations.

The annual Free Cone Day has been in existence since 1979 when the founders of Ben & Jerry dreamed up the day as a way to say thank you to their loyal customers. "It's all about saying thank you to our fans".
