Hallmark Channel Cuts Ties With Lori Loughlin Amid College Admissions Scandal

New details in elite college admissions scandal; Jeff Paul reports from Los Angeles.

One day before Crown Media Family's decision, a USA federal court judge granted Loughlin permission to return to British Columbia to continue working on her Hallmark projects.

In a statement Thursday, the parent company of the Hallmark Channel says it was "saddened" by the recent allegations.

"We are no longer working with Lori Loughlin" and have stopped development of all productions with the actress for Crown Media channels, the statement said. The network doesn't specify if they'll continue to air the current season of When Calls the Heart but it seems likely that they will. Asked about Hallmark's success, Crown Media CEO Bill Abbott told The Washington Post that in an "undeniably contentious" national environment, "we are a place you can go and feel good".

When reached by Fox News, a rep for Loughlin said that they "have no information to share".

The Hallmark Channel is known for holidays and shows with happy endings. Additionally, she stars in the network's film series Garage Sale Mysteries.

Loughlin has not yet entered a plea in the case, and her attorney declined comment Wednesday after her first appearance in a Los Angeles federal court.
