Tfue Reveals The Main Reason Fortnite Streamers Are Switching To Apex Legends

Apex Legends is now available on PC, Xbox and PlayStation 4.

This comes courtesy of ShiinaBR (and their ApexUpdate account) on Twitter (as spotted by VG247), a data miner who has been a prolific source of Fortnite leaks in the past, but has now unearthed some very interesting nuggets regarding rival shooter Apex Legends.

In an interview with Eurogamer, lead producer Drew McCoy said that although there's "nothing [they] can now talk about", the studio would love to bring the game to Switch.

Respawn Entertainment shook battle royale fans with the surprise launch of Apex Legends, gaining over 10 million players in just three days.

Respawn is also planning to add cross-play support between platforms, something Nintendo has encouraged with the likes of Minecraft and Fortnite.

According to the details, the 60 player limit would stay, meaning there would be 30 two-player squads, or 60 solo players, as you would expect.

But more choice is usually a good thing, especially when Apex Legends is a tad bare at the moment. They plan to deliver four Seasons (in March, June, September, and December) each of which will include new Legends, weapons, loot, and a fresh Battle Pass.

Then, later this week we'll be celebrating Valentine's Day by introducing some limited-time Valentine's Day themed loot, so all you (Apex Legends) lovers out there keep your eyes open. While it's likely that the developer is now working on new game modes to add to the roster, it could similarly be possible that these game modes were considered and subsequently scrapped.
