Dan Enos Hired As New Offensive Coordinator

Enos served a short stint as an offensive assistant coach at MI in January 2018.

Alabama quarterbacks coach Dan Enos yells instruction as his quarterbacks warm up before an NCAA college football game against Auburn, Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Quarterback issues have plagued the Miami Hurricanes for some time now, and with this hire, Diaz is looking to turn over a new leaf and develop a high-powered offense to compliment the meteoric rise of his already dominant defense.

Enos posted a 26-36 record at Central Michigan, leading the Chippewas to at least six wins in each of his final three seasons.

In his five seasons in Mount Pleasant, Enos' offenses passed for more than 3,000 yards four times. Enos is coming off a season where Tua Tagovailoa was the Heisman runner-up and the Crimson Tide offense broke nearly every single-season offensive record in program history. He lost his job following Bielema's firing after the 2017 season.

Meanwhile, Cesc Fabregas' anticipated move to Monaco is still to be completed, with Chelsea seeking a replacement. Chelsea are being linked with a move for Gonzalo Higuain this window and Alvaro Morata also looks likely to leave.

Quarterbacks coach Dan Enos, who was poised to be promoted to offensive coordinator for the 2019 season, left the Crimson Tide for the same position at Miami.

Here's something else Hurricanes fans should love: Alabama led the nation in passing efficiency and was second in yards-per-play at 7.8. Diaz spoke about Enos in a statement released announcing his hiring.

Uncertainty surrounded the program with then-defensive coordinator Manny Diaz intending to leave to take the head coaching job at Temple. "Dan is one of the most innovative play-callers in college football and he not only has a remarkable track record of coaching quarterbacks, but also developing players for the NFL at numerous positions".

"His experience as a head coach will also provide invaluable insight to our entire program", Diaz said.

Enos addition is critical to Diaz who is embarking on his first position as a Head Coach. His five years of experience at Central Michigan gives Diaz someone on the staff he can rely on with questions about all the aspects of running a major college football program. Under Enos' tutelage, Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa completed 69 percent of his passes, throwing for 3,966 yards, 43 touchdowns and just six interceptions - setting an all-time Football Bowl Subdivision single-season passer rating mark (199.44). Hurts is visiting Miami this weekend, according to Barry Jackson. We do not care who plays quarterback for us.
