R. Kelly Under Investigation in Georgia Following New Documentary's Abuse Allegations

Gaga and R Kelly worked together on a song called Do What U Want (With My Body), and Gaga has previously explained that the lyrics are about lies people have spread about her and how they can't mess with her confidence.

According to police, there is a warrant against R. Kelly's former manager for terroristic threats stemming from a May 2018 phone call.

In the police report Joycelyn's father, Timothy Savage, received text messages from Russell saying it would "be best for him and his family if the documentary [Surviving R. Kelly] does not air". Kelly was free to go about his business.

Foxx said she has been "in contact with" people who have information related to claims in Cook County.

"I don't think Kim Foxx should be giving any legitimacy to reality TV allegations", he said Tuesday. "I was sickened as a survivor, I was sickened as a mother, I'm sickened as a prosecutor", she told a field of reporters.

In a statement, Gaga said "as a victim of sexual assault myself" she was at a "dark time in my life" when she collaborated with Kelly in 2013.

But Foxx also said there's no active investigation of Kelly and launching one would require victims and witnesses.

At least two women have contacted the Cook County State's Attorney's Office since Wednesday afternoon to complain of alleged inappropriate conduct by R. Kelly.

In some cases, the women say they were underage.

Chris Hopper, a spokesperson, for the Fulton County district attorney's office, declined to comment. In 2002, he was arrested after a video surfaced appearing to show him having sex with and urinating on a 14-year-old girl. Despite years of petitions and calls for Kelly's longtime label home, RCA Records, to part ways with the singer, he remained on the company's roster at press time. At trial, witnesses testified that Kelly was in a sexual relationship with the then 15-year-old girl in the video as early as 1998.

It is unclear if investigators have had contact with Kelly or his attorneys. "She essentially went up there and said, 'We have no evidence of a crime, but if someone would like to make something up, please call us'".

Despite the accusations that span decades, the star singer, songwriter and producer who rose from poverty on Chicago's South Side has retained a sizable following.
