Rob Gronkowski, Sony Michel will test injuries pregame

The following Patriots players are inactive for Sunday night's game against the Packers: offensive lineman Brian Schwenke, offensive lineman Shaq Mason, tight end Rob Gronkowski, running back Sony Michel, tight end Jacob Hollister, linebacker Nicholas Grigsby and offensive lineman Cole Croston.

New England is coming off a 25-6 victory over the Buffalo Bills on Monday night, while Green Bay was on the losing end against the Los Angeles Rams by a score of 29-27 in Week 8.

The Packers added reserve cornerback Tony Brown to the injury report as questionable with a hip injury.

The Patriots have released their inactives list before they battle the Packers, and both Gronkowski and Michel are inactive.

Michel suffered a knee injury in the Bears game but missed only a few days of practice.

Gronkowski's health has been an issue all season, and it has clearly been a factor in his play.

Michel is the Patriots leading rusher with 422 yards and his absence meant the team had just two healthy backs (James White and Kenjon Barner) for the second straight week. He hasn't scored since Week 1.

It looked like Gronkowski was playing through injuries even when he had played, and it's probably smart for the Patriots to give him a rest.
