EPL: Wenger speaks on Arsenal giving Ramsey 'huge contract' in January

One midfielder that looks to be on his way out of the club is Aaron Ramsey, with discussions to extend his current contract now at a standstill.

The Welsh global had been close to agreeing to a new deal but Arsenal recently withdrew their offer amid input from head coach Unai Emery.

Ramsey is set to leave the Emirates club after a decade of service in North London.

He started the season alongside 19-year-old summer signing Matteo Guendouzi, but in recent weeks, Uruguay midfielder Lucas Torreira has been Xhaka's midfield partner, with numerous opinion that this combination is Arsenal's strongest as it stands.

Harry and Meghan arrive in Sydney for first downunder tour
Harry will pay tribute to Fijian war veterans and the couple will attend a state dinner before flying to Tonga. Prince Harry and his wife Meghan touched down on a Qantas flight in Sydney early on a drizzly Sydney morning.

"We tried that before and it still can happen", Wenger told Sky Sports.

Wenger signed Ramsey from Cardiff City for £4.8 million in 2008 and the Wales global has gone on to make 242 Premier League appearances for Arsenal, as well as twice scoring the victor in the FA Cup Final.

Unai Emery nixed Aaron Ramsey's new four-year contract because the Spaniard wants to bring in his own signings next summer.

Arsenal gave in to Mesut Ozil's bumper new contract wage demands which has seen the German cop around 300,000-per-week. These things were once my responsibility but not anymore.
