World's longest non-stop flight from Singapore touches down in NY

Singapore Airlines premiered the non-stop flight from Singapore to NY that covers 16,700 kilometres and lasted a whopping 17 hours 52 minutes.

Operated by Singapore Airlines (SINGF) - ranked the top airline in the world earlier this year- the route re-launched in response to high consumer demand for the one-stop journey.

The world's longest commercial airplane flight took off this week, connecting Newark and Singapore via 19 no-cattle-class hours in Singapore Airlines' brand-new Airbus A350-900 Ultra Long Range plane.
