Melania Trump to visit Ghana, Malawi, Kenya and Egypt

Melania Trump's first solo trip overseas as first lady will take her to Africa.

Mrs Trump said the trip will be organised with the USA government's global aid agency and would be part of her Be Best campaign, which aims to improve child welfare, especially when it comes to online behaviour and addiction to opioids.

"Whether it is education, drug addiction, hunger, online safety or bullying, poverty or disease, it is too often children who are hit first and hardest across the globe".

She said that she was looking forward to taking with her the message of her signature initiative, "Be Best", which she set up with the goal of focusing on children's well-being, as well as social media use and opioid abuse.

The first ladies of Ghana, Malawi and Kenya attended the event and Mrs. Trump recognized each one individually. Sara Netanyahu, the wife of the Israeli prime minister, was also there.

Kenya's First Lady accompanied President Uhuru Kenyatta to the United States for the first visit following the election of President Donald Trump. She did not say how long her visit would take. Aside Al-Sisi, Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari and kenyan president Uhuru kenyatta have met with Trump at the White House this year.
