Petition pushes for LeBron James to replace Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos

DeVos, who has been United States secretary of education since 2017, was described in the document as "a scandal-ridden Republican donor who shows an inexcusable dislike for public education".

The petition has obviously spun out of the news about the I Promise school opened in OH on July 30 by the self-proclaimed "King" of basketball, fanned by flames of the to-and-fro following President Donald Trump's recent remarks about James' intelligence.

The NBA star personally donated millions through his LeBron James Family Foundation, worked to secure sponsorship, and will ultimately have a huge influence on the school program.

"The second candidate is Betsy DeVos, a scandal-ridden Republican donor who shows an inexcusable dislike for public education, wants to gut protections for women and minorities, and has advocated for teachers to be armed in schools". We certainly deserve better!

She has authored a petition titled "LeBron James For Secretary of Education!" with its intended recipient being none other than President Donald J. Trump.

The large, blue and white boat arrived in Port Klang, west of the capital, after setting sail from the Indonesian island of Batam. The charges are related to the RM42mil that allegedly went from SRC International into Najib's personal bank accounts.

Trump didn't take long to fire back at James after the long-known critic of the 45th president told CNN host Don Lemon in an interview about his newest charitable deed, in which James slammed Trump - saying he uses sports to "divide" Americans and would "never" sit across from him. Trump's tweet read, "LeBron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon".

Referencing his new I Promise school in Akron, the petition lists James as the first candidate.

"The coverage made it look like the whole thing is his", said Mark Williamson, spokesman for Akron Public Schools district.

Not everyone was applauding James educational endeavors. Meanwhile Betsy DeVos makes it easier for scammers to scam'. BTW, she has 12 yachts, ' another person pointed out.
