Woman helps man short on cash -- it was Keith Urban

Ruth Reed, from New Jersey, USA, thought she was helping a down-and-out man pay for his food at a petrol station.

It is not clear if Ruth ended up attending the concert herself after her encounter with Keith.

Reed posted a Facebook comment explaining what happened, NorthJersey.com reports, writing that she has made resolutions over the last few years to help out fellow Wawa customers.

Reed and Urban took a photo together outside of the store.

You can check out where Keith Urban will pop up next on his website right here.

"I argued with him that he was not Keith Urban", Reed said.

She says, "It was then I realised what an idiot I was".

A friend gave Reed $20 for her Wawa acts of kindness. "I said, 'OK, I don't think she would lie to some old lady'".

"And I just fell apart, fell apart", she said.

"And he really could have said, 'Lady, get away from me!'" she said. And recently, she loaned a man money without realizing he is one of the biggest country music stars in the world. Even thought it was Urban, Reed says she thought he was just a lookalike since he was with a woman other than Oscar-winning wife Nicole Kidman. "And he didn't. He was very kind".
