Cam Newton posted a comment on the Carolina Panthers Instagram account on Tuesday to talk about his placement in the casualty pool. This comment alluded to a possible departure.
Newton has been missing since he’s hurt his foot again during the loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second week. He said he would wait until he was cured before coming back, but the recovery was slow, leading to Tuesday’s decision.
The Panthers announced that Newton was placed on IR on their Instagram account, and the quarterback commented on the article.

In his bizarre font style, Newton said, “Charlotte and the Panthers will always be in my heart! I’m going to work my tail to be stronger, faster, smarter and more accurate (SIC) for you guys! until then, I will continue to support the hell of the Panthers and Kyle Allen & Will Grier. ”
Cam’s comment was kind and thoughtful, although he said “Forever to be in my heart” was remarkable. Why would Newton say “forever” unless you think of a departure? Newton still has a year of contract with the Panthers with a cap of $ 21.1 million. The Panthers can save $ 19.1 million against the cap by cutting it. Even an author of the Panthers thinks it’s the beginning of the end of Newton’s reign for the team. ”
“Forever to be in my heart” sounds more like a farewell note than a “see you soon”.
Newton was the Panthers’ first choice in 2011 and has never played for another NFL team. It was asked if he would even find his first job when he came back this season. It is now a questionable point.
