The New England Patriots will not have the services of defenseman Rex Burkhead for tonight's game against the New York Giants.
Burkhead was limited in practice yesterday with a foot problem. He had already been called a suspect by the Patriots, but Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Burkhead will not play.
Burkhead had already missed the match last weekend against the Washington Redskins.
RB Burkhead, RB of the Patriots, should not play tonight against the Giants, by source. No Burkead, no Phillip Dorsett.

In the first four weeks of the season, Burkhead was used as part of the Patriots' half-turn, alongside James White, Sony Michel, and sometimes Brandon Bolden. He is currently the league's second-leading scorer with 112 yards and one touchdown over 24 races.
The best performance of Burkhead was won in the third week against the New York Jets. He rushed for 47 yards and one touchdown on 11 runs while he amassed six catches for 22 yards.
Without Burkhead, the owners of Sony Michael Fantasy could benefit. The Patriots expect to win, so Michel should have a lot of work in the ground game.
The Patriots and Giants will start at 8:20 pm AND on the FOX and NFL networks.
