Firefighters rescue two people dangling from Oklahoma City skyscraper

Two window washers were trapped for almost an hour on a dangling basket at the top of a 50-story skyscraper in Oklahoma.

Video showed the lift - which looks like a large metal basket - hitting the side of the building hard enough to break windows.

The basket was seen crashing into the side of the building several times as it swung back and forth in the sky.

The Devon Tower is 50 stories and is the 49th tallest building in the United States.

"They were on a ride that no one would want to experience, to say the least", Battalion Chief Benny Fulkerson with the Oklahoma City Fire Department told KOCO News 5.

Crews responded to the Devon Tower shortly before 8 a.m. Wednesday.
