Dodgers' Urias arrested on suspicion of domestic violence

Julio Urias, a pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers, was arrested in connection with a domestic violence incident at the Beverly Center, Los Angeles police confirmed Tuesday.

Officers responded to a disturbance call at the shopping mall around 7:30 p.m. Monday.

"We learned about the alleged incident this morning and are in the process of gathering information", a statement from the team said. Players may be placed on paid administrative leave during an investigation, and if discipline is warranted the leave can be converted to a suspension without pay.

There also was no immediate response early Tuesday to an email sent to Urias' agent, Scott Boras.
