Lena Headey reflects on Cersei Lannister's arc in 'Game of Thrones'

The queen has left the building. May she finally rest in peace.

Game Of Thrones will conclude at 9pm this Sunday on HBO and at 2am on Sky Atlantic in the UK. Cersei was kept mostly on the sidelines for the first five episodes, just watching the action play out - or off screen while the action focused on Winterfell.

The latest error appeared at the end of The Bells episode as Lena Headey and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's characters Cersei and Jaime Lannister embrace as they await the end of their lives under a pile of crashing rubble. Although they might have hoped to take Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) up on his secret escape plan by way of the dinghy he'd stored on the shore, the passageway was blocked by fallen rubble, and the two were doomed to die in each other's arms as the rest of the castle fell on top of them.

[My reaction was] mixed. It would've been cool to see Cersei have some kind of fight showdown with Dany or Arya, or anyone. There was also a widely circulating theory that Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) would revive her Faceless Man trick and cosplay as Jaime to cross that big name off her list.

Officer accused in Eric Garner chokehold death faces disciplinary trial
The trial is being closely watched by civil rights activists who say few police officers face consequences for using deadly force. The video was played as the man who took it testified at the disciplinary hearing for Officer Daniel Pantaleo (pan-tuh-LAY'-oh).

Bale agent: I hope he keeps playing for Madrid
Bale has made it clear he wants to stay in Madrid but Marca claim Zidane has personally told the player that he is free to leave. But after Lopetegui and then Santiago Solari were sacked, Zidane's return has put Bale's future at the club in serious doubt.

She came around to the idea of dying in her brother-lover Jaime's arms, however, explaining, "The more we talked about it the more it seemed like the ideal end for her".

'I think the biggest surprise is he came back for her. Cersei realises just how she loves him and just how much he loves her. Because now she'll have to rule by fear, exactly the way Cersei did during her reign, and that's not what the "Breaker of Chains" wanted (although as many fans pointed out Sunday night, she hanged masters in Meereen). "Ultimately they belong together".

Most of these fell victim to Daenerys' last remaining dragon, Drogon, who then blasted the walls of the Red Keep with fire as Cersei and Jaime attempted to flee. In Episode 4, he said he sided "with the people" and would do whatever he could do to make sure the right leader was on the throne.
