Final Fantasy VII Remake State of Play trailer, screenshots

After a lengthy disappearance from the public eye, Square Enix showed off a brand-new trailer for the Final Fantasy VII remake during PlayStation's State of Play stream this afternoon. During Sony's State of Play presentation on Thursday, they finally dropped another glimpse at the long in development title.

We've seen little on the game since then, with the last major update coming during the 2015 PlayStation Experience, where we caught a glimpse of the game in action for the first time.

Today's trailer all seems to pull from the first hours of the game, focusing on Cloud and Barret's attack on a Mako reactor in Midgar. But a few seconds of footage isn't much to go on.

The teaser only served to whet our appetites, but we should receive more information at E3 in June.

Obviously FF7R is launching on the PlayStation 4, and there was no reference to a PC version in the State of Play trailer.

More information for Final Fantasy VII Remake will be shared next month. And no, we still don't have a release date for it yet.
