Apex Legends is coming to mobile

Apex Legends may have single-handedly saved EA's fourth quarter, and the publisher wants to continue growing it. EA is now focussing on "delivering for this massive global community with a long-term live service, including new seasons with more robust Battle Pass content, new legends, and exciting evolutions to the in-game environment", Wilson told investors.

Given its success on PC and consoles, it's only natural that Apex Legends makes its way to mobile.

The company said it was in advanced talks to bring its hit game to China and launch a mobile version. However, it appears that these services are really profitable for publishers as EA has just announced that it saw a strong growth in its Forth and Final Quarter of the Fiscal Year 2018/2019 thanks to them. The game offers an opportunity for us to build a direct connection with our players there, and we hope to be able to leverage this for other games. Apex Legends could look very different in a few years, especially if the battle royale market dries up and EA needs to milk it before it moves on. Presumably, EA is referring to new Origin accounts with no prior history with the company's games.
