The Will County Health Department also reported in a news release that about 1.2% of Will County children in school have religious objections to vaccinations on file, according to Regional Office of Education records. The vast majority of cases have occurred in children who have not received the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, and public health officials are working to ensure immunization.

The vaccine is also available at the Health Department's immunization clinic, located at 425 First Avenue, Fourth Floor, in downtown Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh PA 15219 (entrance is on Cherry Way).

Measles is easily preventable with a safe, highly effective vaccine.
