Lori Loughlin may put on a courageous and even smiley face as she faces down accusations about her involvement in the college admissions scandal.

Actress Lori Loughlin "doesn't understand" the criticism after pleading not guilty, a source says.

Both Loughlin and Giannulli have expressed frustration over the public spectacle surrounding the case, a source close to the "Fuller House" star told People.

They are accused of creating fake rowing profiles to get their daughters Isabella and Olivia into USC, "agree [ing] to pay bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters designated as recruits to the [University of Southern California (USC)] crew team-despite the fact that they did not participate in crew".

On Monday, Loughlin and Giannulli pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, along with conspiracy to commit money laundering.
