Trump, Netanyahu to meet next week in Washington

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel will meet with president Donald Trump at the White House at the end of March, just two weeks before the Israeli elections.

The report noted that the committee separately requested documents from Flynn and his son, Michael Flynn, Jr., but it remains unclear if the Flynn Intel Group's submission will cover them.

The president will welcome Netanyahu for his third White House visit since Trump took office, the White house said Wednesday.

Cummings, a Democrat, represents Maryland's 7th Congressional District in the House, where he is the chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Reform. Nadler has also been looking into hush-money payments to two women who said they had affairs with Trump. However, it is now unclear how much information she will be releasing to the investigation.

The White House is also refusing to provide documents relating to lower-profile issues, such as the use of taxpayer funds to pay for lavish private aircraft.

Hicks, the White House's former communications director, had a close working relationship with Trump.

In early 2018, Hicks testified to the House Intelligence Committee behind closed doors, reportedly refusing to answer numerous questions from Democratic lawmakers at a time when Republicans still had a majority in Congress.

Hicks played a key role in Trump's 2016 campaign and served as the administration's communications director from August 2017 to March 2018.

Nadler's request on Hicks was part of a wholesale Democratic Party dragnet wherein 81 different individuals, organizations and entities were handed initial document production requests to look into alleged "obstruction of justice, corruption, and abuse of power". Democrats on the committee had urged their Republican colleagues to subpoena Hicks to answer their questions.

The deadline for those requests was Monday-and several have gone unanswered. Trump will host Netanyahu at a dinner on Tuesday night.

Others, like former White House counsel Don McGahn, are referring their inquiries from the committee to the White House. It's the day after Sater is slated to testify publicly before the House Intelligence Committee.
