Celtics' Marcus Smart Ejected for Shoving Joel Embiid to the Ground

The Celtics and Sixers continued their heated rivalry Wednesday night in Philadelphia and things, well, got heated.

Marcus Smart could not have known the beast he would unleash when he took exception to a hard pick and sent Joel Embiid sprawling face first to the court with a two-handed shove to the back early in the third quarter. He reached the 30-point mark before the final frame while Al Horford (22 points) and Terry Rozier (20 points) combined for 44 but couldn't come up with the necessary defensive stops to close out the home team. "I don't care", said Embiid after the game.

Philadelphia would go on to win 118-115, giving the Sixers their first win over the Celtics in four tries this season.

Club rivalries will not split England camp, says Harry Kane
All we can do is play the way we have been playing, play with that freedom and I think the players we have allow us to do that. It is down to us as players to use that experience we have had and to manage expectations.

Man Utd legend Ferdinand: I'd rather Man City win than Liverpool
The Reds are now leading the way at the top of the Premier League table as they look to try and win their first major trophy under Jurgen Klopp this season.

As expected, it was a thriller of a game between two of the top teams in the National Basketball Association. Rozier had himself quite the postseason series vs. Philly, too, as he averaged 19 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.4 assists in the five-game series win.

The Celtics, meanwhile, were led by Kyrie Irving who had 36 points.

As you might remember, the Sixers prematurely dropped confetti during Game 3 of last year's Sixers-Celtics playoff series after Marco Belinelli hit a buzzer-beater that proved to be a game-tying shot rather than a game-winner.
