Giants Involved In Odell Beckham Trade Talks, But

The rumors surrounding New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will come to an end.

"That's good ears", Gettleman remarked at the NFL Combine, when it was suggested that he meant his comments to reflect the Giants' thinking at the time Beckham signed his contract.

Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. While it's nearly unfathomable to consider the idea of two star wide receivers being traded in one offseason, the chances of it happening may be heating up. It was buzzing around Indy that the 49ers want him though.

Now, each day it seems that rumors out of Cleveland gain more veracity that the Browns are actively trying to pry Beckham out of NY.

Former Giants Vice President of Player Evaluation Marc Ross explains why he doesn't believe general manager Dave Gettleman will select Eli Manning's successor with the No. 6 pick in the NFL Draft.

Another earlier report said the Giants would not entertain offers for Beckham unless they were "overwhelmed" by an offer. He points to a tweet from Bleacher Report's Matt Miller which stated the "rumors coming out of Cleveland this afternoon are wild".

While the Browns and Beckham have been linked for awhile, there's going to be a number of teams that are going to be in the mix for Beckham (the 49'ers are a team that would love to grab him), the question is can the Browns pull it off, or will the price be too high for them to make a deal for the 26-year-old?

Thanks to some in-depth research by Ben Axelrod of WKYC3, it seems the Browns may have been working this past week to gear up for a run at Beckham. "The Browns are probably a front-runner for that".

"The betting odds agree, with Bovada giving the Cleveland (+285) the second best odds of being Beckham's team at the start of the 2019 season, trailing only the Giants (-190)", writes Axelrod.

The three-time Pro Bowl player was originally selected by NY out of LSU with the 12th pick in the 2014 draft. Beckham's productivity on the field is still unmatched despite missing four games this past season and 11 games in 2017.
