A timeline of the search for MH370

The Malaysia Airlines jet vanished on March 8, 2014 carrying 239 people - mostly from China - en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

Malaysia's Prime Minister has promised to keep the search going.

In a statement today, the MOT said if there was new credible evidence, the continuation of the search for the vanished flight would be considered by the Government.

But they failed to come up with any firm conclusions, leaving relatives angry and disappointed.

They were given a glimmer of hope last weekend during a memorial in Kuala Lumpur when the Malaysian transport minister said he was open to hearing proposals to resume the hunt.

"We will continue to do whatever we can to make sure the search goes on", Grace Nathan, whose mother Anne Daisy was on the flight, told AFP. Nik Ahmad Huzlan drove home the point that relaunching the search would be a wasted effort if the investigators team did not entertain or reject certain possibilities and scenario of the plane's last moments prior to exhaustion of fuel.

Writing an emotional post on Instagram, the lawyer added: "I look at the time and i remember my last conversation with you".
