Oddsmakers Now Favor Giants To Sign Bryce Harper

Monday after the Capitals morning skate, Capitals forward Tom Wilson revealed that he lost a high profile follow on Twitter recently: Bryce Harper.

Really, no one knows except maybe Harper himself, and he's being stingy with the details.

The Giants met with Harper at his hometown, Las Vegas, last week and president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi admitted it was a positive meeting and made it clear they were serious pursuers of the player. Harper is a six-time All-Star and won the 2015 NL MVP.

There's also skepticism among some parties involved in the Giants-Harper conversation that San Francisco can generate the kind of offer the slugger is looking for, reports ESPN's Buster Olney.

Browns will have a zero-tolerance policy with Hunt — GM
Dorsey added that the Browns have given Hunt "detailed plans with expectations laid out that he understands and must follow". Browns general manager John Dorsey drafted Hunt out of Toledo and has been in contact with him during an ongoing suspension.

Harper reportedly turned down a $300 million, 10-year offer from the Nationals earlier this offseason. According to Jon Heyman, however, that's not going to get it done.

Wilson, however, seems skeptical Harper will return to Washington. "And say, "you know what, do you want a short-term contract to come to San Francisco, or do you want a long-term contract and go to Philadelphia".

Boston knocked out NY 3-1 in last year's American League Division Series before beating the Houston Astros 4-1 in the AL Championship Series and the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-1 in the World Series. "It's a two-team race here", Nightengale told KNBR.

From where I sit, the idea of Harper to the Giants is pretty much off the table after this report. I think the fact that it's an iconic franchise, you've got 40,000 fans a game, always electricity and buzz there.
