A clip of Miley Cyrus and Shawn Mendes rehearsing for their Dolly Parton tribute performance they've been teasing on Instagram has been posted onto Twitter and people can not wait to hear the full thing at the "Person Of The Year" Tribute Concert hosted by the Recording Academy ahead of the Grammy's.

"This could be the year for the real thing", Cyrus wrote, quoting lyrics from Parton's 1983 duet with Kenny Rogers, "Islands in the Stream", implying that she and Mendes may be recreating the iconic tune for the tribute.

Parton, a native of Tennessee, won her first Grammy in 1978. "We want to be like you when we grow up".

Parton, 73, also appeared to touch on some of the concerns of the #MeToo movement and sexual misconduct in entertainment and other industries, when she described entering the music business when it was a "man's world". "Because I have actually worked with so many wonderful men and I've never met a man that I didn't like and I've never met a man whose ass I couldn't kick if he didn't treat me with the right respect".

Parton, an eight-time Grammy victor, was serenaded by her goddaughter, Miley Cyrus, Little Big Town, Katy Perry, Maren Morris and Kacey Musgraves.
