Aladdin trailer revealing Will Smith as the Genie airs during Grammys

As promised, Will Smith has granted fans' wishes and been transformed into a blue hue for Aladdin.

Will Smith's Genie looked like an ordinary guy in the first images we saw of Disney's new live-action Aladdin.

A thrilling and vibrant live-action adaptation of Disney's animated classic, "Aladdin" is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future. While the original role was played by the late Robin Williams and can never be duplicated, Smith's appearance in this most recent trailer proves he's most certainly bringing the snark.

Two more ‘significant’ winter storms headed for western Washington
In Portland, a tanker truck blocked a ramp for hours after sliding into a vehicle on an interchange between Interstates 5 and 84. Pacific Northwest residents who are more accustomed to rain than snow are digging out from a winter storm and bracing for more.

The brief video, which aired during the Grammys, saves the Genie reveal for last, with Aladdin (Mena Massoud) rubbing the lamp and unleashing the figure, whom he apparently has no idea about.

An earlier teaser, showing Massoud but not Smith, was released in the fall. Smith even tried to preempt criticism in an Instagram post. "He was big enough to feel like a force - not so muscular that he looked like he was counting his calories, but formidable enough to look like you knew when he was in the room". Aladdin opens in theaters on May 24.
