Israeli scientists claim they'll have cancer cure in a year

For all the Israel-haters out there, they'd better hope that that Israelis are forgiving if they are stricken with cancer, because if a new report out of Israel turns out to be true, scientists in the Jewish state have discovered a cure.

"Our solution will be both generic and personal", Aridor of Accelerated Evolution Biotechnologies Ltd. (AEBi) said, pointing out that the drug won't be affected by mutations - which is the reason why most treatments fail, as once cancer cells start mutating and spreading rapidly they can become resistant to therapy.

Past year there were 9.6million deaths from cancer worldwide, according to charity Cancer Research UK.

More than half a million people died from cancer in 2015, a 1.7 percent decline from 2014. Still, despite these frightening statistics, the team of experts believe that their drug, MuTaTo, or multi-target toxin, has the power to eradicate cancer for good. But MuTato, as the Jerusalem Post notes, uses "a combination of several cancer-targeting peptides for each cancer cell at the same time, combined with a strong peptide toxin that would kill cancer cells specifically". This, they say, is something that conventional cancer medication can not achieve.

Dr. Ilan Morad, who works with Aridor, is hopeful of Aebi's method.

"The probability of having multiple mutations that would modify all the targeted receptors decreases dramatically with the number of targets used", Morad continued. "Instead of attacking receptors at one time, we attack receptors three at a time - not even cancer can mutate three receptors at the same time".

His case, though undeniably horrifying, was highly-publicised because of Bundy's charming and intelligent nature. Efron gives a performance that could change the rest of his career and leaves the audience stunned.

MuTaTo, he added, is very different in this regard.

However, he says MuTaTo is small, flexible, and strong enough to both destroy stem cells and penetrate where other drugs can not reach.

It could also reduce the sickening side-effects of most cancer treatments, according to Morad. Mutations in the cancer cells make the anti-cancer drugs ineffective.

The targeted approach of MuTaTo, the team says, makes it uniquely effective.

The treatment will eventually be personalized and a specific cocktail of the drugs will be given to patients based on their type of cancer, said Dr. Morad.

The treatment, which has not been tested in humans yet, has shown success in mice trials and is nearing the stage of clinical trial, Aridor said.
