Motorola RAZR to be revived as a $1500 foldable phone

The Motorola Razr became a legend in its early days as an ultra-slim flip phone and its smart, non-foldable successors never managed to reach the same level of popularity.

The news of the foldable Motorola RAZR was first reported by The Wall Street Journal and they say it will be pretty expensive as it will be priced at $1500! Sadly, like all foldy phones, this revived Razr is said to come with a big price tag. It also plans to manufacture over 200,000 units of the phone.

According to a Wall St Journal report, tech company Lenovo and Verizon have teamed up to create a modern version of the much-loved mobile.

Now, Motorola reportedly wants to bring the device back.

That being said, when someone called her a 'fat lady, ' the Duchess had the flawless response and definitely did not get offended. Her large baby bump could really be seen in the fitted garment as she stepped out of her auto with a big smile.

Lenovo is said to be working with Verizon to launch the device, which is set to go on sale initially in the U.S. only from February. The start of Razr brand dates back to more than a decade, the time when Nokia ruled the market, Motorola was one brand that managed to survive and sell phones under the brand name Razr.

That launch time may mean we're set to hear details of the new phone at MWC 2019 as it's set to kick off on February 25. Lenovo-owned Motorola may planning to resurrect the brand with a $1,500 folding-screen model in partnership with Verizon. This is going to take some tricky design work to pull off properly. For all the talk of foldable screens coming to major phones, manufacturers like Samsung have been extremely reticent to actually show off their concept designs. The phone was nearly instantly one of the most popular on the market, thanks to its thin, innovative design.

Foldable displays aren't a new concept, with electronics company Royole unveiling the world's first flexible display device in November, 2019. Samsung wasn't far behind, releasing a new folding smartphone shortly after.
