Congresswoman's Campaign Fined for Lapsed Comp

The campaign of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), a champion of progressive policies and supposed advocate of the working class, has been fined for not carrying workers' compensation coverage during a period of the campaign a year ago.

"I can not tell you the amount of dysfunction that this president is advancing", she said on MSNCB following the address, as reported by The Daily Wire.

One House member who is trying to mentor Ocasio-Cortez on how to get along and get ahead in Washington is Rep. Nydia Velázquez (D-NY), according to Politico.

Despite Ocasio-Cortez' telegenic approach to self-promotion and her social media star power, Democratic House leaders have sought to sideline her in practical ways that could limit the public's exposure to her less mainstream views.

During this time, campaign staffers were not covered for injuries received on the job.

Now, Democratic members of Congress are saying they're done with her "sniping" at their own party and aren't sure if her career in Congress will go too well if she keeps up the criticism.

GIC joins German mobile bank N26’s US$300m funding round
To this end, N26 also plans to open two more offices in Europe this year and to double its current headcount which stands at 700. As is the case with its rivals, the startup is targeting a USA launch, promised to go live in the first half of 2019.

They believe the movement behind Ocasio-Cortez to try and help elevate her to a top committee post is undeserved. She's pro-labor, pro-equality, supports taxing the ultra-rich to pay for vital government programs and infrastructure, and champions the working class and minorities.

Ocascio-Cortez previously responded to Lieberman's statement, writing on Twitter, "New party, who dis?".

"There's a difference between being an activist and a lawmaker in Congress", the source said.

"She's new here, feeling her way around", Rep. Kurt Schrader (D., Ore.) said.

"I think that there's a lot of people more concerned about being precisely, factually, and semantically correct than about being morally right", she told host Anderson Cooper.

Republicans quoted in local news reports were quick to complain about the apparent hypocrisy, and a Democrat agreed that the oversight did not look good.
