Rick Nash Retires After 15 Seasons Due To Concussion Complications

Rick Nash announced his retirement from the National Hockey League on Friday due to "unresolved issues/symptoms from the concussions sustained last March".

Resnick told NHL.com on Friday that Nash was holding out hope he could play this season, but on advice of his medical team chose to retire. "Rick would like to thank everyone who has supported him during this hard time period".

Nash has announced his retirement from the NHL after suffering a concussion last March. After a few months of weighing his options, Nash decided it would be best if he just retired in order to keep his health intact.

Nash concludes his career with 437 goals and 805 points in 1,060 games split between the Blue Jackets, Rangers, and Bruins.

Nash totaled three goals and three assists for six points in 11 games with the Bruins last season.
