Jayme Closs, found alive, to return home to Barron, Wis. Friday

"This is Jayme Closs!" the woman said when the neighbor opened the door, according to the Star Tribune of Minneapolis.

She told Kasinskas that she was being kept in the Eau Claire Acres neighborhood - just a few houses down from the Kasinskas home.

According to Closs's aunt Sue Allard, the teenager was found after escaping and finding a woman walking her dog in a housing development outside the town. It's unclear if Jayme knew Patterson in any capacity.

They rushed to the nearest home, which happened to be that of Kasinskas. As they waited for authorities, Jayme declined food and water, and instead met the family's puppy.

'I hope that she's in good shape, ' the mayor said. He couldn't comment on whether she showed signs of physical abuse.

Investigators confirm a suspect is in custody but say no other details would be released until a Friday news conference.

Neither statement gave any further information about the suspect.

"Praise the Lord", Allard said between sobs. I can't wait to get my arms around her. "She just yelled please help me I don't know where I am". She does not wish to be identified, and says that Jayme approached her on the road and asked for help. "From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!"

The FBI had been searching nationwide for Closs and described her as "endangered".

Barron Mayor Ron Fladten says he hasn't heard any details about Closs' discovery.

On "America's Newsroom" Friday, Fuhrman noted that authorities said they believe Closs was Patterson's "only target", and Patterson, who had no prior criminal record, "planned his actions and took many steps to hide his identity".

A Wisconsin State Trooper guards the entrance to an intersection about a mile from where missing 13-year-old Jayme Closs was found in Gordon, Wisc., Jan. 11, 2019. An anonymous 911 call led authorities to discover their bodies. They didn't find shoe prints inside the Closs's home, Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald told MPR News in December.

They were found shot to death in their home on October 15, the night their daughter disappeared, reported NBC News.

Both the woman and the neighbour recognised Jayme from the massive publicity the case has drawn, authorities said.

This comes after thousands of tips and tons of speculation over where the teen was. An initial ground search yielded no clues, but a second search by more than 2,000 people turned up several items of interest to investigators, the AP reports.

"Today we can finally say, Jayme Closs is home", a joyful Justin Tolomeo, special agent in charge of Milwaukee division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, said Friday at a press conference in Barron, Wisconsin.
