Kelly, Vows to Remove Duet Off Streaming Services

Lady Gaga is sorry for her 2013 duet with R. Kelly in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations against the singer, and she intends to remove the song from streaming services.

Lady Gaga has finally made a decision to speak out about her former duet partner R. Kelly, who is under renewed scrutiny for years of sexual abuse allegations in the aftermath of a new documentary series.

Today she shared an apology on Instagram and said that she stood behind the accusers 1000 per cent. Referencing the song's title, she adds: 'I think it's clear how explicit twisted my thinking was at the time'.

Lady Gaga, whose real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, said if she could go back in time and talk to her younger self, she would have told her to seek therapy or help.

The move comes in light of Kelly's alleged involvement with pedophilia and a sex cult revealed in the docu-series, "Surviving R. Kelly", which aired January 4 on Lifetime.

Lady Gaga has formally spoken out about her collaboration with R. Kelly.

Kim Jong Un concludes China visit ahead of possible 2nd Trump summit

It is now unclear if the remix that sees Christina Aguilera replace R. Kelly will also be removed, although it appears that Lady Gaga is not a fan of the song's theme and concept. The Fame/The Fame Monster and Born This Way are two albums that explicitly defined my college experience and baby gay-hood, so in that sense, I'll always have this love for Lady Gaga. Gaga's relationship with Richardson, whom she has yet to denounce, is also a problem.

Kelly, 52, has denied the accusations lobbed against him and his lawyers have threatened to sue Lifetime over the docuseries, according to Insider. He stood accused of making a 27-minute sex tape with an underage girl in 2002.

John Legend, who appears in the documentary, recently took to Twitter to slam Kelly as a "serial child rapist". "You print some shit that makes me want to scream" she sings, before launching into the chorus: "You can have my heart and you won't use my mind but do what you want with my body".

A Chicago prosecutor on Tuesday urged anyone alleging abuse by Kelly to come forward so claims could be investigated.

As well as her intention to remove 'Do What U Want (With My Body)' from streaming platforms, Gaga also declared she will not be working with Kelly again. But I do know how I feel now. "We regret that we were not both more informed and more discerning when we worked with him previously", they wrote.
