Lotto multimillionaire from Surrey says jackpot win an 'amazing blessing'

Michelle De Roma was out Boxing Day shopping in south Delta when she chose to pick up a Lotto Max ticket.

Speaking through happy tears she added, "Our lives have been changed forever".

De Roma plays the lottery about every week and the winning Lotto Max numbers were randomly generated through a quick pick.

De Roma purchased her winning ticket at the Gateway Newstand in Tsawwassen Mills.

She won the jackpot in the December 28 draw and says she and her family spent a few days celebrating before claiming the money. "I went and scanned it myself and it said 'it's a victor, ' and then the number $39 million came up". She said: "My husband didn't believe me at first, so we checked it again online and we matched all the numbers".
