Don't forget refuse and recycling collection changes over the Christmas break

Residents are being reminded that their bin collections will change over the festive period.

Bin hangers have been distributed to all Waveney and Suffolk Coastal households, providing householders with details about wheeled bin collections between Christmas and New Year.

Most kerbside bin collections will continue within the authority as usual over this year's festive period.

All garden waste collections will be "frozen" from Christmas Eve until Monday, 7 January. Those who receive collections on Tuesdays will have their landfill and recycling bins collected on the previous Saturday over the two weeks. It's thanks to them that we're able to offer collections on Boxing Day and 2 January too.

Residents of Torridge are being encouraged to continue recycling over Christmas.

Customers should also make sure their bin is out by 6am on the day of collection as collection crews may come at different times to normal.

Bins should be put out for collection on the pavement by 7am on collection day and taken back on to properties no later than 9am the following day.
