Suns owner threatens to move National Basketball Association franchise to Seattle

The real estate developer reportedly told the Phoenix City Council that he would move the National Basketball Association team to either Las Vegas or Seattle if he doesn't get funding on renovations to the team's arena.

With the Phoenix Suns struggling (to say the least) on the court and in the news for less-than-ideal reasons off the court, it's easy to understand why Suns fans are fed up with team owner Robert Sarver. I'm a strong proponent, as evidenced by the term sheet that I signed last week, that we should renovate the Talking Stick Resort Arena and once again restore it to a world class facility.

Along with the stadium improvements, Sarver said the team is looking to build a "first-class" practice facility.

Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver has threatened to relocate the team if the city doesn't help pay for arena renovations. He's so tight he squeaks when he walks. In a video that was posted to the Phoenix Suns official Twitter account, owner Robert Sarver made it clear that the team won't be moving out of Phoenix and that he wants to renovate Talking Stick Resort Arena. The 30 year old arena is the oldest National Basketball Association arena which is not under renovation now.

The vote on arena renovations was delayed until January after not appearing to have the support it needed to pass, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.

Australia recognises west Jerusalem as Israel's capital
For decades the global community maintained that the city's status should be negotiated between Israel and the Palestinians. Israel captured east Jerusalem in the 1967 Mideast war and annexed it in a move that is not internationally recognised.

But that did not stop Phoneix residents from criticizing the Suns owner.

"He said, 'If you guys are not going to vote for this, let me go, just let me go somewhere else", the council member told the Republic. Devin Booker, who didn't play in the Suns' 99-89 win over Dallas on Thursday, is averaging 23.5 points per game while the No. 1 pick from last summer's draft, Deandre Ayton, is averaging 15.5 points on 58 percent shooting.

The deal would keep the Suns in Phoenix until 2037 or face a $200 million fine.

Once a perpetual playoff franchise, the Phoenix Suns have been at the bottom of the league for years and have the worst record in the National Basketball Association in 2018.
