Trump calls barbed wire 'beautiful' as troops install wire along border

A total of about 5,000 troops have been sent to the USA southern border in advance of the possible arrival of the caravan of Central American migrants.

"There is no plan for us military forces to be involved in the actual mission denying people entry to the United States", he said.

The deployment is being called "Operation Faithful Patriot".

"We have our military now at the border", Trump said as the crowd cheered.

He later attempted to clarify his comments, however. It was unclear how many had taken up missions on the border, which will include support tasks like building housing for Customs and Border Protection personnel, and erecting barriers. That doesn't mean shoot them.

By voicing its opposition, the Pentagon helped ensure that its mission was tailored to providing support only to government personnel on the border. U.S Northern Command is providing military support to the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Customs and Border Protection to secure the southern border of the United States.

But he noted that the soldiers that will be armed will be allowed to exercise self-defense.

The Hill reported on Monday that President Trump could order as many as 15,000 troops to the U.S. -Mexico border, which a study from The Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments estimates could costs as much as $110 million.

Trump stirred controversy last Thursday when he told reporters at the White House that if incoming migrants hurl rocks at the troops, they would be met with fire.

The organizations are "calling out to everyone to converge on the U.S. -Mexico border immediately to support U.S. law enforcement and military organizations already there".

Meanwhile, a big group of Central Americans has agreed to push towards Mexico City from a coastal state on Monday, planning to exit a part of the country that has always been treacherous for migrants seeking to get to the United States.

The caravan mostly consists of Hondurans who are fleeing from violence and poverty in their home country.

So far, local police in Mexico have not tried to stop the caravan. "They work for their globalist, open-border $$-sponsors-$$", says the site.
