Speaking at a public event, the former Democrat nominee responded with a straight "no" to whether she would want to run again against Donald Trump at the 2020 U.S. presidential election.

When asked point-blank if she was planning to run again in 2020, Clinton quipped "No", then quickly added that she'd "like to be president".

"Well, I'd like to be president", she said, at the public taping of Swisher's podcast.

"And I don't think it's politically correct to say we value that".

Elsewhere in the interview, Clinton said, "I mean we have confused everybody in the world, including ourselves. We have confused our friends and our enemies", she continued.

Look, I get that Hillary won the popular vote and I dearly, dearly wish we were fighting over her plan to intervene in Yemen right now instead of just how bad Donald is on a scale of 1 to 10 (he's an 11), but can we not do this again?

Meanwhile, Clinton was among the high-profile Democrats targeted last week by the Trump supporting pipe bomber.

The former First Lady has been active on Twitter throughout the midterms and has ramped up her media appearances of late.
