Netflix Abruptly Cancels ‘Luke Cage’ After Two Seasons

Now that Netflix has canceled two Marvel shows, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, fans are anxious that the next series to get canned will be Jessica Jones.

Netflix issued a statement saying "Unfortunately, Marvel's Luke Cage will not return for a third season".

The second season is executive produced by series showrunner Coker (Ray Donovan), Jim Chory (Marvel's Jessica Jones), and Jeph Loeb (Marvel's Jessica Jones), who also serves as Marvel's Head of Television.

The streaming service has officially canceled "Marvel's Luke Cage", after airing 2 seasons of it.

According to their sources the cancellation of Luke Cage was caused due to creative differences as well as the inability for the parties to come up with a deal.

Some of the scripts for the next season of Luke Cage had already been turned in to Netflix, and apparently the streaming service wasn't impressed with what they had been given so far.
