Knicks fan sinks half-court shot for $10K at opener

The New York Knicks started out the first few minutes of their 2018-19 campaign in atrocious fashion, missing nine-straight field goal attempts. Head coach David Fizdale called a timeout with his team down 10-2 to the Atlanta Hawks, looking for a spark after NY missed its first nine attempts from the field. The Knicks won their first game of the Fizdale era in a 126-107 victory over the Hawks, playing the uptempo style they have promised.

Almost four minutes had gone by in the season-opening game and the Knicks were still without a field goal. The team started 0-for-9 from the field - only making two free throws - and you could see the small glimmer of hope for a winning season already leaving Madison Square Garden. One particular fan actually made a shot before they did during a stoppage in play.

Merkel says Khashoggi killers must 'answer for their actions'
He insists Khashoggi is no longer inside the consulate and says Turkish authorities are welcome to search the diplomatic mission. Trump has pointed to that large purchase agreement as a reason to hold off on punishing Saudi Arabia for killing Khashoggi.

The lucky fan not only drained the half-court shot, taking home a cool $10,000, but he was the first "Knick" to make a bucket. Not only that, he went nuts celebrating on the court with his buddies afterward, which was fun to watch.
