Strictly Come Dancing first couple eliminated REVEALED

Susannah Constantine has become the first celebrity contestant to be eliminated from this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

Susannah, who lives on the outskirts of Handcross, left the show after facing a dance off with professional partner Anton Du Beke when Susannah scored the lowest marks in the BBC dance contest for the second week running.

In last night's dance-off, Du Beke and Constantine faced Blue star Lee Ryan and his partner Nadiya Bychkova, after coming bottom of the leaderboard.

Anton, 52, and Susannah, 56, bowed out of the show on Sunday, after judges voted to save Lee Ryan and Nadiya Bychkova.

It has also been reported that Du Beke's ousted partner Susannah Constantine threw a tantrum after their elimination, for which she has vehemently denied.

The former "What Not To Wear Star" said afterwards: "I know it has gone a bit quick, but you know what I just feel so lucky to have had three weeks learning to dance with Anton and to have met all these wonderful people".

They continued: 'Anton is really unhappy as he feels like he gets the joke acts or the ones who can't dance at all'.

Conceding that Lee and Nadiya were the superior couple, she added: "But Anton is still the king". He addressed the rumour on Monday directly on Twitter, and denies he has any plans to leave the show.

"But what I thought about Susannah is that she was really interesting and lovely and that we'd have a great time and hopefully something might come out of it, dance-wise".

'I'm going to miss spending time with you in the studio, we've had a great time, we've had enormous amounts of fun and you're wonderful and thank you very much indeed'.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday night at 6.30pm on BBC One.

Du Beke is the only professional to have appeared on Strictly since it began in 2004, after fellow dancer Brendan Cole departed the show earlier this year.
