Giants stick behind Eli Manning despite struggles

New York Giants star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. made waves again Thursday night when he was seen leaving the field early before halftime of their 34-13 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. It seemed Eli Manning's impressive streak of consecutive starts, second to only Brett Favre's, came to a tragic end for no apparent reason. On the season, he has thrown for 1,662 yards and six touchdowns against four interceptions. At one point Manning attempted to hit him down the sideline with a pass that was badly underthrown.

Beckham was completely shut down in the game, as he was held to only two catches for 12 yards in the first half.

"My confidence in myself is good", Manning said after the game. "Everybody knew because they can check whether or not you're looking at your plays with these iPads". The Giants can't blame Beckham for their current 1-5 predicament, but he certainly didn't help their cause with his brutal honesty.

Youths at risk of mental illness
Language can drive people to - or away from - getting life-changing help of the kind available at The Orchard in Banbury. NAMI hosts several support groups and educational courses each month to help reduce the stigma around mental illness.

Yet despite the Giants' anemic attack with Manning under center, head coach Pat Shurmur won't consider a change at quarterback.

Likely looking at another top draft pick, NY will likely attempt to draft Manning's replacement and usher him out the door quietly.
