"This is my last interview".

The 43-year-old said: 'You just want to die.

With a new album, titled Love, on the way, Buble explained that this is his time to step away from music, wanting to leave at the "very top" after making the "perfect record".

Luckily for the whole family, his son Noah's cancer is now in remission, but Bublé nonetheless feels as if he is done with the anxiety and pressure of being famous. I don't know if I can even get through this conversation without crying.

In addition to Noah, the couple has a young son named Elias.

Both he and Luisana put their careers on hold to be there for their son - they jetted to the United States so Noah could undergo treatment for hepatoblastoma. I was embarrassed by my ego, that it had allowed this insecurity.

In the highly emotional interview with Daily Mail, he talked about how his son's illness brought into focus the "celebrity narcissism" which he realised he didn't have the stomach for any more.

He spoke of experiencing "the worst possible thing that you could hear as a parent and maybe as a human being".

He said: 'I decided I'll never read my name again in print, never read a review, and I never have.
