Surprise 'South Park' Ending Is A Massive Troll Of 'The Simpsons'

But besides trolling Roseanne throughout, Trey Parker and Matt Stone took this opportunity to take a shot at The Simpsons for the show's controversial character, Apu Nahasapeemapetilon. Mr. Hankey hoped to use the hearing to clear his name, only making things worse by blaming his tweets and "bad jokes" on an Ambien overdose.

Mr. Hankey was indeed subject to a freaky hearing that amusingly aped some of the more notable moments from Kavanaugh's recent testimony regarding claims of sexual assault, but with another timely twist: Mr. Hankey had been fired from directing the annual holiday pageant after a series of "offensive tweets" from his past resurfaced. The episode-long gag was that the "The Simpsons" had used every possible plot device. "There are still places out there who don't care about bigotry and hate". All of The Simpsons characters are standing in the town square when Mr. Hankey arrives with his patented "Howdy, Ho!"

Of course, the one character to enter the screen and greet Hankey is Apu, complete with his stereotypical accent.

The writing as on the wall for this to be addressed, though very few actually caught it beforehand.

South Park has a lot on its plate these days in terms of cramming so much news and pop culture developments into 22 minutes of satire, and this week, they did what they could by taking on Brett Kavanaugh, Roseanne Barr and so much more.

On the new episode "The Problem With A Poo", which aired on Wednesday evening, South Park addressed the recent controversy over Apu.
